I saw almost every one of those fall shows. My personal Favorite is 10/17, but that is for more than purely musical reasons. I missed the Santa Fe run as I flew from Denver to JFK on my way to taking up residence in CT for the next few years after growing up in the SF bay area. I figured a move to CT was a good move from a Deadhead prespective as I needed to broaden my GD horizons. It worked. My first show back east was MSG 10/11. Been here so long I got to callin' it home. BTW, I was at the 7/28/82 St Stephen tease show at Red Rocks, so I did get some cosmic justice there.

Those shows in Santa Fe are on a short list of 80's shows that I missed and regret. SPAC '83 is another.

My favorite show of '83 was the Friday the 13th show at the Greek Theater, 5/13. But again for vastly more than just musical reasons.

The fall tour in '83 began in Richmond, those Santa Fe shows weren't really in the fall, they were part of what must have been a wild ride from Portland on August 26th to Austin on September 13th, Little Sense, please share some of your tour stories from the fall tour and from '83 in general. Btw, the recent upgrade of SPAC '83 is worth a listen, Garcia and Phil are much louder and clearer.
